2019 – Wind River Range, Wyoming
Though it was in the middle of June the men of the 2019 expedition broke out their snow shoes as they backpacked and climbed the Wind River Mountain Range near the Continental Divide in Wyoming. Camping well past 10,000 feet led to some spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and some incredible places for prayer and reflection. Much peanut butter was consumed in the execution of this trip.
2018 – The Gates of Lodore, Utah and Colorado
21 men spent a summer’s week whitewater rafting the Gates of Lodore on the Green River. Highlights of the trip included having Mass and camping on the canyon beaches, hiking to find and explore water falls and ancient petroglyphs, and navigating the Class III and IV rapids.
2017 – Manitou Islands, Michigan
The Manitou Islands are two uninhabited islands off the coast the lower peninsula of Michigan. After being dropped off by a ferry time was spent setting camp, reflecting in prayer, taming a deer, swimming, and hiking. Our time on the northern island was cut a day short due to an approaching storm but it led to arguably the best part of our adventure as the group stood laughing on the front of the ship while getting mercilessly pummeled by waves breaking over the prow.
